Connect for the Cause and protect your financial interests

Making your voice heard is more important than ever: Large banks and corporate interests are constantly lobbying Congress for changes that can impact the benefits you enjoy as a credit union member.

But you can fight back! Connect for the Cause is an online network that allows credit union members to communicate quickly and directly with their Member of Congress or State Legislators concerning important issues that affect your financial well-being.

Connect for the Cause is easy and safe. Just go to www.connectforthecause.org, and find the "New? Register Here" link in the lower right corner. You'll just be asked some basic contact information (which will remain secure, and not be shared with any third parties), including your email address. Once you've signed up, you'll be notified anytime there is important legislation that affects you. Connect for the Cause will then help you to automatically email your legislators; you can either prepare your own message, or use the ready-made template. It's fast and easy, and important!

*** Need to Sell Your Ride? Spectrum and CUDL Can Help!

If the first step toward getting that new car is getting the best deal for your old one, be sure to visit the new Sell Your Ride section at Spectrum's CUDL/AutoSmart website. You can list all the important details, and even upload pictures, of your vehicle for sale. We all know how easy online shopping can be: making it easy for your prospective buyer to decide that your car is just the one they need means more and better response! From Spectrum's "Partners and Links" page, find the CUDL/AutoSmart link. Once at the CUDL/AutoSmart page, look on the far right of the main menu for "Sell Your Ride." And be sure to get pre-approved for your Spectrum auto loan while you're at it!

*** Don't Pay More to Use Your Debit Card!

Congress and the Federal Reserve want to force you to pay more to use your debit card, with limits on interchange fees. That will drive up costs, and force financial institutions large and small to compensate by raising other fees, or eliminating free services. Make your voice heard: the National Association of Federal Credit Unions has set up a website specifically to allow you to contact your members of Congress quickly and easily on this topic. *** Internet Explorer 9 Is Not Currently Supported

We are working with our web hosting company to address any website issues you might be encountering after upgrading to Internet Explorer 9. At present, however, this browser is not supported at the Spectrum website or P.A.L. online banking, and you'll need to use an alternate browser for access until further notice.

Spectrum can provide Emergency Loans to members in areas affected by severe weather conditions, such as flooding or blizzards. The Spectrum Emergency Loan provides up to $4,000 for a term of 36 months at an interest rate of 7.25% Annual Percentage Rate. All loans require credit approval.
